We are so honored to be a part of an inaugural festival. This film festival is destined to become one of the most important genre film festivals in the world. The festival directors - Dean Bertram, Lisa Mitchell, and Shane Kavanagh’s vision, selections, and commitment to launch independent filmmakers’ careers are immensely impressive. Their love and conviction for the genre picture is so real. This festival was the best film festival we’ve ever attended. Fantastic Planet rocks!

Also, we were so thrilled to have a legendary genre film director, Mr. Brian Trenchard-Smith, as one of the judges of the completion!
(Mr. Trenchard-Smith’s “The Man From Hong Kong” and “Turkey Shoot” (aka, Escape 2000) are Kurando’s all-time favorite films.)
